We're getting this stuff ( 4 replies so far) for a motorbike we're selling.
Been reading everyone else's posts, but what is the scam about?They don't ask for bank details etc, they just want name, address & phone number. Has anybody actually received a cheque?
What do they want out of this very tedious process?
Is it a version of a similar scam in the States? - over there banks can call back previously cleared cheques - so you might well lose out if you release the vehicle then the bank recalls the funds you think have cleared.
